In High Loaf

My current class is killing me. The class itself isn't difficult and
neither are the assignments. But I've found myself procrastinating like
never before. Tonight, when I coukd have easily completed my
assignment, was spent in high loaf: watched some TV with The Cat then
got on the Internet, but not to do my work. No, I just sat there
checking my RSS feeds over and over, reading miscellaneous articles,
checking pages that have nothing to do with the task at hand, hunting
down the name of a boardgame that I saw a few months back, convincing
myself that I need to try needle felting. I haven't made any progress
on Earthbound in days, a Lost disk from Netflix sits unwatched, WoW sits
unplayed, a shirt that I was embrodering a UFO on is half done, a Lego
robot that plays music doesn't work to my satisfaction and needs work,
my blog hasn't been moved over to the new Blogger, my tumblog remains
just a thought and, oh yeah, my project is still not finished. But I've
spent plenty of time thinking about doing these things (all of which are
leisure activities) but not actually doing them. I wish I could just
either do all this junk or forget about it.
I was able to outline my project so whipping it out should be no problem
tomorrow. I should be happy over that small victory, but I wish that I
didn't wait until the absolute last moment.
This will be the final project for this class. I'll spend some of the
time between classes to actually do some of that stuff. But I am sure
that I'll just get distracted by something else.
